Waitakiroa Farmstay Bed and Breakfast is in a great location central to so much that our Nelson, Motueka and Tasman areas have to offer. The Abel Tasman, Kahurangi and Nelson Lakes National Parks are all within easy reach.

They offer excellent hiking (or tramping as we call it in New Zealand). Whether you want a short bush walk or a longer hiking trip, it's all there. Hike the famous Abel Tasman Coastal Track or take on the summit of Mount Arthur and experience some amazing views - you can see Farewell Spit on a clear day.

Close by you can go river kayaking, sea kayaking, horse trekking, parachuting, motorcycling, enjoy many water sports including scuba diving in the marine reserve and wonderful swimming beaches. Chances are you'll see the New Zealand fur seal playing in the waters or resting on rock.

The golden sands of Kaiteriteri Beach invite you to pack a picnic and head to the sea. We can help you plan your activities and arrangements if you wish. One thing's guaranteed, you won't be bored.

You may just want to explore the regions galleries. There are many artists living in the area with galleries and workshops open to the public. You may find just the work of art you want for your wall or garden.

There are also a large number of vineyards and wineries within the Nelson/Tasman region. Drop in for a wine tasting or stay longer and enjoy a relaxed lunch and a glass or two of wine as you soak up the vineyard atmosphere.
